Steel Structure

Keystone Technik provides a full range of structural services. In addition to standard structural engineering design services, Keystones Techniks provides substantial expertise in the areas of rehabilitation and upgrading of deteriorating structures, troubleshooting vibration, heavy machinery supports foundations, and evaluation of facilities for extreme conditions

Services include design, failure investigation, inspection, structural
corrections, design review, and rehabilitation.

Our thorough knowledge of Codes is enhanced by sophisticated
analytical capabilities. We routinely use STAAD/Pro for steel and
reinforced concrete analysis, COSMOS/M for finite element
analysis of complex components, and a variety of special purpose
structural analysis and design programs.

Electrical

Generation and distribution of electricity within the plant and adjacent facilities is reviewed to assess opportunities for more efficient utilization; particularly, when major changes to existing processing units and/or new process units are to be installed.
In addition, a periodic review of the reliability of electrical components and electronic control systems to evaluate opportunities reduces the failure rate or costly preventive maintenance. Cogeneration of steam and power is highly attractive at most locations to improve energy efficiency and increase reliability of critical steam and power users. Power reliability also is dependent on dual supply and distribution facilities.

Materials Corrosion Protection
      Keytone Technik provides expert assistance in a wide variety
of materials and material issues including metallic, plastic and
refractory materials. Services include material selection and
specifications, preparation and review of weld procedures, assessment
of material-related fabrication and construction problems, preparation
of risk-based inspection plans, and failure analysis.
      We perform root cause failure analysis and troubleshooting for
a wide range of refinery/power/chemical/petrochemical equipment
including pressure vessels, piping, heat exchangers, fired heaters/
boilers, and rotating equipment.
      The material specialists perform fitness for service, remaining life
and risk based assessments of plant equipment in conjunction with
other Keytone experts.
